I think it's quite apparent now that the picnics we organize are far more successful than the BBQ's. Our BBQ's get screwed in every possible way it could get screwed. The weather's a bitch, our lack of fire skills catch up to us, too much food, too little food, inadequate space to dispose of rubbish (LOL). And, you know, when it comes to BBQ's you have to cater to whole group of people as compared to packing just enough food for 3.
So picnics are definitely good in my book. Plus, its so much more economical. No need to pay for rental of space or the appropriate facilities, no need to waste money on charcoal and realize later that its not enough. Picnics are safer too. No fire involved.
Not that I don't like the primitive cooking technique. It's just that, I
suck at starting fires. And that's part of the joy of hosting a BBQ isn't it?
