So last night turned out to be a spontaneous movie night. I don't usually do that, but I managed to stay awake for 4 movies straight (which was approximately 7 hours) before giving in to slumber at 3 am.
Movies watched (in chronoligical order) :
A Cinderella Story (2004)
Knowing (2009)
You've Got Mail (1998)
City of Angels (1998)
Okay so the first one was for Chad Michael Murray. Come on, no brainer.
Second one was because I wasn't sleepy and there wasn't anything else to do. At the beginning it looked kinda promising, especially with Nicolas Cage in it so I thought I hit a movie jackpot without actually desperately searching for something to watch. But then as the movie progressed, I got confused. Confused because I couldn't decide if the movie was a) a horror movie b) an end-of-the-world movie or c) an alien movie. And the ending was so "urgh", couldn't believe I actually watched that. I felt sad for the fact that THE Nicolas Cage was in it. What, no more bad guys to catch? I. was. sad.
So then there was the third movie which, in my opinion, I so desprately needed in order to counteract the monstrosity that was the previous movie. I really really think I've reached that level where the number of times you watch a certain movie is enough for you to actually quote approximately 85% of the script. And I don't mean that in a bad way. I like the conversations they have in that movie. Witty, thought-provoking and humorous. What can I say? It's how I like 'em. :]
Then the last one. Its been awhile since I caught this one and it was actually by chance I did last night. I still wasn't sleepy so I was preparing to slip into that familiar state of channel surfing when I found out that this was next. Best part was that it had Nicolas Cage AND Meg Ryan in it. Score! But not really. I knew that Meg Ryan's character was going to die at the end. That didn't stop me though. I inevitably ended up crying. (Is that normal? I do that with Titanic.)
So yeah, that pretty much sums up my friday night. A slight deviation from the norm which I honestly hope does not become the norm.
