Today marks the first day of A's and I can now proudly say that I've been there, done that. Twice! Not one of my best experiences but there's always a hikmah behind everything that happens.(and I honestly believe that in my case, it's the major revamp in the engineering syllabus, thank god)
No complaints so far. Just that I hate computing. But must. press. on.
As per the norm, I'm looking forward to post-exam activities. Catching up on my guitar lessons, my fair share of odd jobs and most obviously a little getaway with the family.
Its amazing though, the wonders of how staying in the hostel has made me appreciate home more. Maybe its just me, but I feel like this year has been a year of appreciation for me. An appreciation for:
1. Small moments with family
2. Time
3. Home-cooked food
4. Human interaction
just to name a few.
I have alot more things going on in this head of mine but for the moment I shall just leave it at this. I'll share a few things that I've recently made a point to live by:
1. Never, ever give up. No matter how bleak the outcome looks for you, there's always a way out of it, if you put your mind to it. Don't give up.
2. Don't compare. We all have our stories, we all have personal battles to deal with so just leave other people alone. Unless, of course, we share and care then that becomes a trusting bond between the people involved. But other than that, don't compare.
3. FML. These words should never be uttered. In fact, if I were president of the world, which I think would happen anytime soon, I'd ban this phrase. There is always, always someone who is much worse off than you are.
4. Umm, okay try not to run while your previously sprained ankle has not fully recovered. Cause if not it'll start to throb again, like it is now.
