So maybe your week didn't start off as great as you wanted it to. So maybe you lost your keys to your hostel room so now you might have to journey back 2 hours forth and 2 hours back so long as you don't make a new set. So maybe you didn't bring along your pencil case to school and ended up having to trouble a friend to accommodate to your carelessness. So maybe you're not catching up in fluid mechanics and the tutor so happens to notice because you're the only Malay girl in the class, heck the cohort. So maybe you're getting distant from your dear friends because you won't prioritize your commitments. So maybe you aren't efficient in your work and you keep making spelling mistakes.
But then you start to think, so what. You have shelter from home to school. You have money to spend for lunch. You have a mother who takes the effort to leave in the middle of lessons to go to the staff room and check if she took your keys. You have a father who opens the door for you when you get home, even at 11.00pm. You have a sister who makes sure she says good-bye to you, thinking you were leaving for 4 nights in hall. You have cute baby cousins who smile at you without a care in their happy world. You have other awesome friends who check up on you when they know you're having a rough start.
And then maybe, just maybe, you start to think that the Monday wasn't so bad after all.
